Just a short update:
We have less than 3 weeks left before we complete our journey! The days and nights have been long and tiresome…the people we’ve met have been inspiring–One thing we know for sure: We’re not walking across America for ourselves…we’re doing it for those who won’t even get the chance to walk or stand–for the voiceless. A thought came to my mind the other day: We were praying at an abortion clinic in Indianapolis last Saturday and on the way there our host mom was talking about the specifics of this clinic. She told us it was a smaller clinic and that it performed about 100 abortions a week.
Wow…100 lives.
You know, if there was a plane crash tomorrow that killed 100 lives…America would be distraught! But, what about the babies we’re killing? Aren’t their lives important too? I truly believe that the first step in making a difference and enabling change is to simply be aware of what is going on.
I challenge you to get involved in the pro-life movement in your own way. Obviously most people don’t have three months to give up of their lives to walk across the country acting as silent witnesses. But, I challenge you to walk with us–small or large…every ounce of involvement makes the greatest difference.
Together, we can turn this culture of death we live in…into a culture of life.
