Just a short update:
We have less than 3 weeks left before we complete our journey! The days and nights have been long and tiresome…the people we’ve met have been inspiring–One thing we know for sure: We’re not walking across America for ourselves…we’re doing it for those who won’t even get the chance to walk or [...]

Moving On: Sad Story

Well, yesterday was a very sad day. We found out that our beloved assistant walk leader—David—was being transferred to the southern walk. The southern walk is in need of male walkers…so, they had to send David. We really miss him and hope he comes back soon!
I don’t have too much to say today…since I just [...]

Hello 8th week! Bring on the humidity!

I thought I had already started this post…but, somehow I can’t find the saved version. Oh well, here goes try #2.
Well, I’m on night shift this week. It doesn’t seem as horrible this time around as it has been in the past. It may be how we are dividing up the miles. Normally, a [...]

More than half-way through…

I’m probably going to regret staying up and writing this—especially since it is nearly 1am and we have to be up for church around 6am. Sheesh. But, I need to keep you guys updated!
So, we’re officially starting our 7th week and officially about to leave Lincoln, Nebraska. I don’t care for this city as much [...]

5th week and no coffee…

Well, the fourth week of walking has concluded! We are currently in Denver, Colorado. Not a bad city, actually. I’m really enjoying the area. So, I would say it’s on my list of possible places to move after graduation.
I walked the most miles on Thursday than I have all summer. 17 miles. I had to [...]
